Sebamed® Cleansing Bar Awarded 2 Patents

In October 2006, we informed you that we had moved to a new generation of natural, ecological, and innovative
formulation expertise for our Cleansing Bar:

  • Amino acid based tenside complex
  • Bee’s wax replacing the mineral oil paraffin
  • Inulin — a natural, skin-related oligosaccharide
  • Renewable primary raw materials.

We realized, we had something! A unique formulation, which warranted a patent registration.

Yes, and now the singularity of this formulation has been confirmed, as at the close of 2009, the European Patent Organisation (EPO) awarded both the submitted applications their patent.

Yes, a patent application can take up to 3 years, as the European Convention investigates everything from the technology of the product to legal research, if the inventor or inventing company really is the first.
